I had some extra sirloin steak in the freezer and decided to make a lighter version of one of my favorite sandwiches. I made this One Pan Keto Philly Cheesesteak Lettuce Wraps recipe and it’s comfort food at it’s best! The best part is, it all cooks in one pan making cleanup super easy.
To make the One Pan Keto Philly Cheesesteak Lettuce Wraps start by preparing your sirloin steak. I pounded the steak slightly thinner and tenderized it using a meat mallet. Season both sides generously with salt and pepper and slice into thin strips.
Add one tablespoon of avocado oil to a large skillet and add your sliced onions and bell peppers. Add salt and pepper to taste. Cook the peppers and onions over medium heat approximately 5 minutes. Remove the onions and peppers and set them aside on a plate; add the remaining tablespoon of oil, steak and oregano to the skillet. Cook the steak approximately 4 minutes while stirring and flipping the meat frequently. Cook the steak to medium, then return the onions and peppers to the skillet. Next, top with 5 slices of provolone cheese; cover the skillet and cook approximately 2-3 minutes or until the cheese is melted.
